Leadership Southwest (LSW) is a non-profit organization that offers a dynamic program of personal development for persons who are interested in providing community service and are concerned about community issues. Each month, focus is on an issue timely to the communities of Southwest Dallas County. Participants can expect to receive excellent instruction from high-profile community and business leaders on topics such as economic development, the justice system and law enforcement, health and human services and transportation.
Classes meet on the third Wednesday of each month for a full business day beginning in September and running through May. During each class, community experts and newsmakers lead stimulating sessions allowing participants to delve into compelling issues and topics. At the end of the program year, each participant receives a certificate of completion.
The goal is to help participants:
- Gain insight into pivotal issues for Southwest Dallas County
- Build a network of contacts
- Develop personal leadership skills
- Identify opportunities for community involvement
Each year our nine session Committee Chairs contact various civic, community and business organizations to "sponsor" breaks and lunches for their individual sessions. This year we again setting "Levels of Sponsorship" and requesting donations in the form of money or other in-kind values such as meals.
We will recognize all levels of sponsorship throughout the class year, thus giving sponsors a value back. Also, through our website, newsletter and other news media, we will make all efforts to promote sponsors to our 800 plus alumni as well as the general public.
Please click on "Levels" to review the levels of sponsorship. Then, click on "Participation Form" and check the level of sponsorship in which you wish to participate. Submit the form and we will contact you for payment.
