Dear Community Member:

On September 21, 2024, the Leadership Southwest Class of 2024 will embark on the program’s
annual Community Service Project in partnership with the Cynthia Mickens Ministries. To
support this multi-city collaboration, we are inviting you to help sponsor our efforts to build a
community garden and gathering place for the youth and senior citizens of Hutchins, TX.
We need your commitment to support the work of Leadership Southwest Class of 2024 by
purchasing a Community Day sponsorship. With your help, we can purchase supplies to
build multiple garden beds, build an outdoor kitchen/classroom area and gazebo, and
install benches, for the community to grow healthy produce, learn how to cook healthier
food selections, build relationships, and foster an environment for multi-generational
enlightenment.
We would be grateful if you would consider making a donation or sponsorship commitment to
this meaningful project and in support of Southern Dallas County families.
Leadership Southwest is a cooperative effort sponsored by the Balch Springs, Cedar Hill,
DeSoto, Duncanville, Glenn Heights and Inland Port Area Chambers of Commerce with a
mission to promote and enhance leadership through education in civic and community affairs,
and encourage volunteerism in Southwest Dallas County.
