    Event Description:
    Make plans to attend and celebrate during this Happy Hour Networking Event for LSW Class of 2020 & Alumni. This Capital Campaign for a Surgery Suite, Medical Center and a Classroom within
    Tri-City Animal Shelter started with the LSW CLass of 2017. When Friends of Tri-City Animal Shelter was chosen as one of the non-profit "case studies" in 2016, it was a pivotal time in our growth and work with the shelter. Our board and shelter leadership had identified an on-site surgery suite & medical center as the most critical need for the shelter, but as a small non-profit, this would be a significant undertaking. The coaching and resources provided to me, as the Executive Director, were very helpful as we transitioned our focus. The team also took our planning to date on the surgery suite, completed a financial analysis and proforma for the operations of the facility, and helped us get an estimate for renovation costs. We structured the beginning of our capital campaign and had our first public conversations about it based on those figures. We have now reached our goal of raising $500,000 and are beginning renovations on the building. We're looking forward to welcoming our team, class, and all of the other LSW alumni to the shelter to experience first-hand the impact that the surgery suite and medical center will make on our animals in 2020.
